This work is based on the ”Red and White Plum Blossoms" by Korin Ogata, a Japanese painter who left many masterpieces during the Edo period. The composition, which is based on gorgeous gold leaf and contrasts beautifully with the river, is said to be Korin Ogata’s masterpiece. The flowing water part of the painting is most impressive, but it is very difficult to draw flowing lines, and even painters have a hard time. Since it is a red and white plum, it is a work that expresses the flow of cold water in early spring. |
